Who I work with

I work with individuals and couples from a wide range of backgrounds, including:

Expat Couples

Living away from home can put its own pressures on a relationship. Different expectations, lifestyles, finances, social circles and plans for the future can all create tension.

Cross-Cultural Couples

When two people come from different cultural backgrounds, you aren't always arguing about what you think you're arguing about.

Money, family, communication, gender roles, intimacy and expectations about relationships can mean very different things depending on how we were brought up.

As someone in a cross-cultural relationship myself, I understand that these differences can be both rewarding and challenging.

Couples Who Simply Want to Do Better

You don't have to be in crisis to benefit from counselling.

I believe couples should learn the skills of healthy communication before their relationship reaches breaking point.

Think of it as relationship maintenance rather than relationship repair.

Individuals

Relationship problems aren't always something you need to work on as a couple.

Individual counselling can provide space to understand your own patterns, emotions, experiences and behaviours — and how these may be affecting your relationships.

What Can We Work On?

There isn't a single reason people come to relationship counselling.

You might be struggling with:

  • Communication problems
  • Repeating the same arguments
  • Feeling unheard or misunderstood
  • Emotional distance
  • Trust and jealousy
  • Infidelity and rebuilding trust
  • Sex and intimacy
  • Different expectations within the relationship
  • Money and financial disagreements
  • Cultural differences
  • Conflict and communication styles
  • Premarital concerns
  • Separation and divorce
  • Understanding recurring relationship patterns
  • Reconnecting after a difficult period
  • Simply wanting to strengthen an already healthy relationship

And sometimes the issue isn't immediately obvious.

That's okay.

We can work together to understand what's happening and decide where to go from there.
